Memoirist, novelist
After a long career as a financial journalist Katy Massey began to take her creative writing seriously around a decade ago. She completed a PhD in memoir writing and autobiography at Newcastle University in 2010. She has subsequently conceived and managed several Arts Council-funded projects around increasing minority participation in literary activities. She is published in the Common People anthology (ed. Kit de Waal, 2019) and her memoir Are we home yet? is published by Jacaranda. Katy is currently working on a novel set in Leeds during the time of the Yorkshire Ripper.
