Artist
Rudy Loewe is a visual artist who uses painting and drawing to interrogate what has become truth in the collective memory, envisaging alternate futures that centre Black queer and trans experience. They explore Black histories, gender and sexuality, and Caribbean folklore, through a visual language often drawing from a range of personal narratives, collected first hand experiences and archival material. In 2021, Rudy became a PhD candidate at the University of the Arts London to research Black Power and British colonial legacies in the archive through painting and drawing.
