Sanghera has become one of Britain’s most admired historians, but he has also been subject to unrelenting and vile abuse online for his temerity to question the sanitised version of British imperial history. In front of an enthusiastic audience at London’s Southbank Centre, he spoke with Colin Grant about his latest book, Empireworld: How British Imperialism Has Shaped the Globe.
