Inua Ellams is an internationally touring poet, playwright, performer, graphic artist and designer. He is an ambassador for the Ministry of Stories and his published books of poetry include Candy Coated Unicorns and Converse All Stars (2011), Thirteen Fairy Negro Tales (2005), The Wire-Headed Heathen (2015), #Afterhours (2017) and The Half-God of Rainfall (2019). His first play, The 14th Tale (2009), was awarded a Fringe First at the Edinburgh International Theatre Festival and his fourth, Barber Shop Chronicles (2017) sold out two runs at the National Theatre in London. His first full poetry collection, The Actual, was published in 2020.
