Robert Huggins is a street photographer originally from Trinidad, specializing in portraiture. He works mainly around Hackney and most of his subjects are people he has met on the street and had an interesting conversation with. He is self taught and works with a Leica. His images are sometimes accompanied by excerpts from poems which might hint at a mood or suggest an inference that could be drawn. Robert’s work has been featured in the Hoxton Mini Press publications of “Portrait of Britain” and “Portrait of Humanity” and was a prize-winning entry in the Observer food magazine “Seeds of Change” photography exhibition at London’s Oxo Gallery.
