WritersMosaic has produced the first in a returning series of Mosaic Monologues, dramatic single-voiced storytelling, and earlier this year John Siddique hosted an event at the Bradford Literature Festival with dramaturg Ishy Din and poet Tahmina Ali discussing the power of monologues. The evening, which also featured live music from Rory A. Green, began with Tahmina Ali performing her monologue, ‘Shifting Shadows’ which tells the story of Anika, a woman caught between motherhood, marriage and the weight of expectation.
