Recently, WritersMosaic and the Poetry Translation Centre presented an evening of Latinx poetry with multimedia performances and Afro-Colombian music and dance. Hosted by writer Amanda Vilanova, poets and musicians explored acts of translation between cultures and across media to bring the living poetry of Latin America to the British Library. Afro-Colombian musicians Akolá Tambó joined poets Oscar Guardiola-Rivera and Gaby Sambuccetti, plus the Latinx creatives of Un Nuevo Sol, to bring video installations and performance to live acts of translation.
