WritersMosaic’s retreat in collaboration with the Hawthornden Foundation gets underway

WritersMosaic, in collaboration with the Hawthornden Foundation, has chosen writers for a retreat at Arvon’s The Hurst in Shropshire. The successful writers – Marjorie Lotfi, Arji Manuelpillai, Sea Sharp, Sharon Duggal, Khaldoon Ahmed, Yvvette Edwards, Shara Atashi and Jasbinder Bilan – will have their heads down with work-in-progress over the course of the week from 21 April – 26 April 2025. They will also take part in and lead individual workshops where they will share and exchange ideas about their writing practice.

The Hurst is one of the residential properties of the Arvon Foundation. Some of the writers have already tutored at Arvon and we aim to introduce the other writers to the team at Arvon so that they, too, might one day appear as tutors.  At the end of the retreat, each writer will be commissioned to write a feature reflecting on their experience, to be published in the coming months on WritersMosaic.
