WritersMosaic residency in Italy

Six writers are completing their work at the first WritersMosaic writing retreat in Italy in collaboration with the Hawthornden Foundation. Saima Mir, Katy Massey, Clementine Burnley, Amanda Vilanova, Ishy Din and Peter Kalu were awarded places at the month-long residency at Villa Lugara in Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. The writing undertaken at the retreat, a restored sixteenth century church farm house, includes novels, crime fiction, memoir, and plays.
The writers have also been commissioned to write about their experiences at the retreat to be published on WritersMosaic on their return to Britain. The retreat will be repeated in 2025. Details will be announced later this year.
